YOU GOT SERVED!

You Got Served Culinary Program

You Got Served is a year-round culinary learning experience for youth looking to gain skills in gourmet food preparation, presentation, and service. The Menu includes: knife skills, food styling, plating, creating your own recipes, and more! You Got Served apprentices receive mentoring that focuses on building relationships, supporting their communities, and displaying leadership in their academic, professional, and family lives.

NEBC wants to see more minority youth succeed in the journey into culinary arts. We know that success is more than mastering the training. Today's youth living in resource-deprived communities are besieged by challenge and opportunity. In order to get the youth we serve on the path of true career readiness, we have adopted the practices of youth development pioneers MHA Labs

This After School Matters Apprenticeship fuses industry specific skills training with career readiness training as defined by competency in these crucial 21st Century Skills: Social Awareness, Planning for Success, Personal Mindset, Problem Solving, Verbal Communication and Collaboration.
